minecraft speedrunning ranked
mcsr ranked it is competitive minecraft where players 1v1 each other in speedrunning. a lot of rng (random) aspects of the game is standardized or removed to create a fair environment. each player plays on the same seed (aka world) and loot tables are also the same so they compete in equal resources environment. things that are rng are how mobs move around the terrain, how many hostile mobs spawn and when does a dragon perch, i am pretty sure there are more stuff to list but this 3 i believe are the gamechangers.
on $18^{th}$ may there was a tournament called mcsr ranked playoffs. and one of the players who qualified to a tournament got hated. so the situation is following, feinberg the main character of this inchident plays against very good player and everyone already knew the outcome. because the player feinberg was playing against was lowk3y_, and the fact that feinberg won and moved to the next bracket was something unbelievable (for most people who are into speedrunning). long story short feinberg won by getting lucky, he was ~40 seconds behind but the dragon perched faster for him and he won. (he won the next bracket as well, the same situation ~40 seconds behind but got lucky).
i find this situation incredibly stupid. i mean it is fine for opponents to get mad because they lost to luck but hating on someone is stupid. rng aspects create a room for making different decision calls and decision making is the thing that makes mcsr ranked fun.
i am kinda bad at writing posts and stuff but that was pretty much all i wanted to say, don't hate on people, have fun, enjoy life, bye whoever read this.
